Virginia Maria Romero ~ Poet/Artist

"Desert In Bloom"

He walks through the desert

grabbing handfuls of silken petals

heavy with morning dew

not thinking of the thorns

      piercing his calloused fingers;

A working man…

Standing in a small room

she shakes out a moth covered white towel

then walks through a narrow passage

to the other side of the wall

   and waits

     for him

        to bring her flowers…

More poetry and art by Virginia Maria Romero arrived and it is my pleasure to post them. These new pieces continue the work of this poet, and artist, grabbing the emotional connection between her artwork and her poetry. This poem is a reflection of two characters connected by the mutual thread of love, as two individuals knowing the heart of the other.
